The “Seniors on the Move” ministry of the International Christian Center, Los Angeles (ICCLA), celebrated a glorious 2025 Christmas party; an event that beautifully affirmed a profound truth: our Christian work and zeal for the Lord do not slow down with age. This powerful ministry is living proof that life’s experience only sharpens one’s spiritual purpose.
ICCLA, located in the city of Hawthorne, California deserves immense recognition for its intentional and prayerful leadership. The church’s initiative ensures that its elders—retirees and grandparents, remain active contributors and spiritual anchors for the entire congregation. This platform ensures our seasoned saints do not “slip through the cracks” but continue to be vital players, contributing their wisdom, experience, and fervent prayers to church affairs.
The spirit of commitment was palpable at the celebration. Adorned in magnificent traditional Nigerian attire, the attendees not only showcased their rich diaspora culture but also the vibrancy of their faith. They are the Elder Statesmen of the church, carrying the living memory of God’s faithfulness and providing foundational mentorship to younger generations.
As ICCLA, demonstrates, a mature Christian life is not about resting; it’s about renewing strength, much like the eagle. This Seniors on the Move ministry” is a testament to the fact that the spiritual race continues until the final finish line. We celebrate ICCLA for this proactive, biblically-rooted investment in the spiritual well-being and continued service of the generation that has faithfully carried the torch.
